To help guests get oriented, we often share this Southern Utah Area map that highlights how these areas connect and why Kanab is such a great hub for exploration. For those who like to plan ahead or dive a little deeper, we’ve created a growing collection of trip-planning resources on our site.
Our Hikes & More page is a great starting point for nearby trails, scenic drives, and easy half-day outings.
We also share detailed guides on our Field Notes blog, including our 2026 guide to National Park dupes for travelers hoping to avoid crowds, a breakdown of permits, guides, and lottery systems across the region, and our go-to four-day, three-night Angels Landing itinerary for guests looking to build a Zion-focused trip. You’ll find even more local insights and planning tips throughout our blog.
Why BaseCamp 37°?
There’s a reason so many guests tell us, “We can’t wait to come back with our friends,” or “Next time, we’re bringing the whole family.”
Over the past nine years, we’ve hosted wellness retreats, birthday celebrations, family gatherings, reunions, small weddings, and celebrations of life. What these groups often share is the same hope: a place that feels private and comfortable, where they can unplug from the noise of everyday life while staying deeply connected to the landscape around them.
That balance is part of what makes BaseCamp 37° special. Set just outside of Kanab, our camp is thoughtfully positioned as a true base camp for exploring the Southwest, with easy access to National Parks, National Monuments, and wide-open high desert in every direction.
With a full run of the property, your group can settle into its own rhythm, coming together for meals and activities, spreading out when you need rest and recharge, and ultimately shaping each day around your interests rather than a fixed schedule.
And when extra support is helpful, we’re here for that too. As needed, we can assist with on-site event coordination, including catering, rentals, adventure guides, or floral arrangements. Just let us know in advance so we can talk through your plans and help bring them together.
Because at the end of the day, we believe that a great day of exploration deserves an equally great evening. One spent cooking together, sharing stories by the fire, and watching the desert settle in under wide-open skies.
Our Commitment
BaseCamp 37° is independently and woman-owned and operated. We welcome folks from all walks of life and see diversity as a strength. Our commitment is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and safe during their time in Southern Utah, all while continuing to support our local community and partners who make Southern Utah so special.
Terms & Booking Structure
We aim to keep the booking process simple and flexible, especially for groups coordinating travel, participants, and logistics.
Once you give us the thumbs up, we’re happy to hold your preferred dates and tents.
For bookings in the following year, we do not require a deposit until January 1.
All group buyouts require a 20% deposit to secure your retreat.
The remaining balance will be charged 90 days prior to your arrival.
This structure is designed to give you time to plan, market, and confirm participants before payments begin, if that applies to your retreat.
