2026 Early Bird Is Live: Celebrate 10 Years at BaseCamp 37°
There’s something special about waking up in the high desert. The quiet. The space. The way time stretches when you’re surrounded by red rock, big skies, and nothing on the schedule except sunrise and coffee.
In 2026, BaseCamp 37° celebrates 10 years of camp, and we’re kicking things off the same way we started—by inviting you to slow down, stay a little longer, and experience the very best of the Southwest.
To celebrate a decade under the stars, our 2026 Early Bird Promo is officially live.

Why BaseCamp 37°?
Our glampground sits along the 37th parallel, tucked between Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon, making it an ideal home base for exploring Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
But most guests tell us the same thing once they arrive: “I should have booked more than one night.”
That’s by design.
We’ve built BaseCamp 37° to be a place you want to linger. Safari-style tents spread across 10 acres of high desert. California King beds layered with handmade Oaxacan bedspreads. Private porches. Cozy fireplaces. A well-stocked Guest Lodge. Space to disconnect without sacrificing comfort. Here’s a little peek at a few of the things that set our glampground apart:
Sustainable & Off-Grid: Our camp runs entirely on solar power, reflecting our commitment to minimizing our environmental footprint while offering you the comforts of a luxury resort.
Comfort Meets Nature: Picture yourself waking up in a spacious safari-style tent, sinking into a California King bed wrapped in handwoven Oaxacan blankets. Step outside to your private porch, where the sunrise paints the desert in hues of orange and gold. At night, gather around the fire pit under some of the darkest skies in the country, perfect for stargazing.
Women-Owned & Community-Driven: As a women-owned business rooted in Kanab, we take pride in supporting local initiatives and ensuring tourism benefits the surrounding community. From partnering with local businesses to preserving the natural beauty of our region, BaseCamp 37° embodies the spirit of responsible adventure.
Discover Kanab: Your Gateway to the Southwest
Nestled between some of the most iconic landscapes in the American Southwest, Kanab is more than just a stopover; it’s an adventurer’s paradise. Known as “Little Hollywood” for its deep ties to Western film history, Kanab offers endless opportunities to explore the wild beauty of Utah’s deserts, slot canyons, and red rock formations. Here’s a look at some of our favorite adventures across the region:
Nearby Must-Sees: National Parks
Zion National Park: Towering sandstone walls, emerald pools, weeping walls, and iconic hikes like Angels Landing and The Narrows. Zion is the closest major park to Kanab, making it easy to visit early or late in the day, when it is often at its best. Since you’ll be driving in from the East Side of Zion, don’t skip out on exploring this quieter and often more rugged part of the park.
Bryce Canyon National Park: Known for its dense concentration of pink hoodoos and dramatic amphitheaters, Bryce Canyon offers a landscape unlike anywhere else. Sunrise and sunset bring out vivid color shifts across the canyon, making it a favorite for photographers. But this park shines at any time of day and from any vista point.
Grand Canyon National Park: One of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on the planet. Kanab sits just north of the North Rim, offering access to a quieter, more remote side of the canyon. Kanab sits just north of the North Rim, making it an ideal base for visiting this quieter, more remote side of the canyon. And don’t forget to pick up a few cookies at the Jacob Lake Inn on your way there (and back).
Planning tip for international visitors: Before visiting multiple parks, be sure to check out our blog “How to Visit Zion, Bryce & the Grand Canyon Without Paying $100 Per Person: 2026 Guide for International Visitors,” which breaks down the 2026 fee structure and explains how to avoid paying separate entrance fees at each park.
Beyond the Main Tourist Track
One of the best parts about staying in Kanab is sometimes what isn’t behind a park gate. The surrounding state and federal public lands offer just as much beauty, often with far fewer people, and are usually dog-friendly. Here’s a peek at the spots we love to explore:
Buckskin Gulch & The Wave: Home to the longest and narrowest slot canyon in the world, Buckskin Gulch delivers an immersive desert experience. Sitting just above Buckskin Gulch in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, the Wave’s swirling sandstone formations are world-famous and require a permit, but the surrounding area offers plenty of equally stunning alternatives.
Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument: Vast, rugged, and wild. This region is known for its sweeping plateaus, remote slot canyons, ancient fossils, and petroglyphs. It’s ideal for hikers who want space, solitude, and a sense of real exploration. Guided canyoneering and hiking trips can take you even deeper into this landscape.
Lake Powell & Glen Canyon National Recreation Area: Blue water cutting through red rock canyons creates one of the Southwest’s most striking contrasts. Paddle, kayak, or boat into hidden coves, or take on a once-in-a-lifetime paddle down the Colorado River through Horseshoe Bend, gaining a rare, water-level perspective of this iconic landmark.
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park: Just outside of Kanab, these striking coral-colored dunes offer a completely different desert experience. Shaped by wind and framed by red rock cliffs, the park is ideal for hiking, sandboarding, photography, and off-highway vehicle access in designated areas. It’s an especially fun stop for families and anyone looking to experience the softer, more playful side of the Southwest landscape.
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary: One of the largest no-kill animal sanctuaries in the world and a meaningful stop during your stay. Visitors can tour the grounds, volunteer, or learn about the organization’s mission. It’s also where our camp dog, Lucy Jean, began her story—making it a place especially close to our hearts.
Stargazing & Celestial Events: BaseCamp 37° is proudly recognized as a Kane County Friends of the Night Sky location by Stellar Vista Observatory. With some of the darkest skies in the region, camp is ideal for meteor showers, moon events, and slow nights around the fire. And yes, we absolutely recommend checking the lunar calendar before you book your glampout.
Guided Tours & Local Adventures: Many of the region’s most memorable experiences are best explored with knowledgeable local guides. From canyoneering and paddling to guided hikes and off-trail routes, we recommend booking with trusted operators. Visit our Friends of BC37 page for guest discounts; we’re adding new partners for 2026.
